Bruce E. Lockman, M.D. is a Board Certified Pediatrician who was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, College Park (1969- 1972) where he received his undergraduate education. Dr. Lockman then attended and graduated from the University of Maryland School Of Medicine (1972-1976) where he received several honors and awards. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society, in his Junior Year. He also received the Mosby Scholarship Award which was given to the top 5 students in the graduating class; The Louis, Ida, and Samuel Cohen Award for Scholarship, Ability, and Compassion for Patients; and The Leonard M. Hummel Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine.
After medical school Dr. Lockman completed his pediatric training/residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (1976-1979) and has been in private practice since as a founder of Erdenheim Pediatrics and, in 2002, Lockman & Lubell Pediatric Associates. He has been selected by his peers as a “Top Doc- General Pediatrics” on several occasions, most recently in 2014. He was also the recipient of the Gia Nicole Angel Foundation Angel Award in 2013.
Dr. Lockman is the proud and loving parent of two sons. Ryan (a civil rights attorney married to Lauren, living in Philadelphia) and Ben (a writer, living and working in Los Angeles). Dr. Lockman enjoys singing, composing, and playing tennis in his spare time.
